The Cross Triathlon Australian Championship is part of the National TreX Series and will be one of Australia’s most uniquely challenging off-road
events. It takes triathlon and mixes it with a huge helping of grit, dirt and hardcore action as competitors tackle a combination of Swimming, Mountain Biking and Trail Running. The Australian Champs event takes place on the Saturday, and is a qualifying round for the 2015 ITU World Cross Triathlon Championships. Just to up the ante even more, Aus Champs competitors will be racing for a share in the $10,000 prize pool!
On the Sunday morning we will see the Cross Triathlon Sprint, Teaser and Junior course competitors take to the start line, as
well as our younger Dirt Kids.
Then on Sunday afternoon it's time for the 10km or 5km trail run. Set on undulating trails and track amongst the Box Ironbark forest and then traversing the banks for beautiful Crusoe Reservoir, this trail run course offers something for everyone including spectacular scenery, challenging off road trails, some technical sections as
well as a bit of water and mud.
If just one of these action-packed
events doesn't sound like enough, competing in all three
events across the weekend will put you in the running for the prestigious title of Victorian 'Dirt Master'!
