Well done David. A good ex Navy mate of mine Eric Higgins, who is now 60yrs old, does these events for fun ??????? Just did the Forster Ironman and finished 3rd in his age group... 11+ hrs of torture. Next stop some big event in Canada. This was a bloke who volunteered for the drum and bugle band at Navy College (Leeuwin in Fremantle) back in 1965, just to get out of running the compulsory cross country once a week LOL. We are all coming over there for a 45 year reunion next July, and I can tell you most of us are going to look pretty ordinary standing next to Eric (Henry) Higgins.
Well done and good luck for your future events.

Oh I forgot to put that in. It was a drafting penality on the bike lap 2. It was a bit rough considering how many others should have been caught and the sheer fact that with 1500 competitors on the field at the same time it is hard to avoid. However I was pulled up for it and did the time. The best part was there was a toilet in the penality box so it was a good break for a leak and a strech.
