Week 4 already! Unlike some programs this is not yet an easy week for me. I have decided to run a full 4 week initial build so next week (this week ahead) is to be my easier week.

Well last update I mentioned about my calf pain from fast shoeless intervals. This week and promissed I used my trail running shoes and kept the pace down. Maybe my pace was a lot down as everyone was commenting and wondering if I was sick or something. Gee the pressure. Nah it was all good funny enough the trail shoes are heavier and I was having difficulty running faster than 4 min km. I usually run intervals at about 3:30 but I was also trying to ensure I did not blow up my calves. Well it worked perfectly and there was no pain and no problems. I think I will take this learning and work on keeping my shoes on and pace moderate at intervals. I have some new shoes due in and I will try these and see what happens on the Intervals sessions, I am still using my Newtons for street running.

This week I lead our club ride up in the Perth Hills on Saturday and it was a perfect day for a ride around in the hills, not too hot and no wind. We had a great time and I think everyone enjoyed themselves.

So until next week (ah yes an easy week - yeah)!
Take care and be safe.
