Comment: Progress - Week 4 Day 1

Good job Kate,

In answer to your running surface question - I prefer to run on a tar surface if training, Tar is a a wee bit softer than concrete and most of the bike paths are tar. Of course I have to use the concrete to move around the suburbs but I do prefer the tar (maybe because the running/cycle path is down near the water - this may help also).

For intervals/sprint work I love taking off the shoes and running on grass.

Hey keep up the good work looking forward to hearing the progress over the next few weeks/months.

Thanks David, I am still apprehensive about running up to the beach and back. its up and down hill. I think when I get a little fitter or decide I need pushing. I will give it a go.

Thanks for the tips. I dont know if i would run on the grass with no shoes.. lots of small smelly obstacles to avoid, wish dog owners would take a bag with them hahahah..
