Comment: Progress - Week 4 Day 1

Most people find running on a hard surface (footpath) "easier" than running on dirt or grass because you can get a good push off on a hard surface - it takes more effort to run on uneven ground - more concentration, ankle strength, and slight increased cardio effort BUT it is so much kinder to your joints. Perhaps one day a week you can run around a grassy oval for your session? When you feel confident with your balance and ankle strength you can mix it up a bit - run off the edge of the footpath sometimes on the gravel, limestone, grass or whatever's there.
Some wish for it, others work for it!

Thanks Michelle, currently for the first 10 mins I run on the footpath then make it to the park and am doing the rest of my work out on grass. Good to know that I have to work at bit harder running on grass. I might give the work out a go just on footpath one day this week to see how it feels :)
