If you read my blog from Hillarys race two you may have noticed that I was using a loaned bike in that event. Well I crashed my bike into the roof of the garage whilst it was on the roof of Michelle's car. After what seemed like forever (about 2.5 weeks) the insurance cheque arrived and Al (from Al's Cycle Surgery - Heathridge) called to tell me that the new bike was ready for pickup.

A big thanks to the SGIO WA claims department for promptly handling the claim and sending out the cheque. A super big thanks to Al for the loan of the bike and arranging to get me this bike late in the season a super effort.

All great and not a moment too soon - I was in the middle of my major training period for the Busselton Half Iron man event that I am doing on the 2nd May. Anyway off the to shop we go and collect the new Azzurri Chrono Pro bike.

What a machine now all I have to do is get some k's on it before the big event. I know how about a 100km ride on Saturday followed by the Coogee Beach tri on Sunday and a cycle home from that event to start with, should be around 200kms for the first weekend.
