In February 2018, MSWA introduced a new and exciting event to the Great Southern region of Western Australia.
The MSWA
Albany Ride inspired the local community and far beyond, and this unique cycling event was deemed a resounding success. It is with pride, and a demonstration of commitment to
Albany and the Great Southern region, that MSWA brings it back in 2019.
The cycling routes take participants through scenic
Albany and the various courses explore some of its most iconic spots, including the ANZAC National Centre, the Historic
Whaling Station, the Wind
Farm and
Middleton Beach - just to name a few. There are ride distances to suit everyone, including families, beginners, weekend warriors and experienced amateur cyclists.
- 10km Family Ride
- 40km Ride
- 80km Challenge
The start/finish line for all Rides is at
Emu Point, which is turned into an 'Event Zone' with a great sense of community spirit; including food and beverage vendors and children's activities, massages and music.
All funds, raised by the MSWA
Albany Ride, stay in
Albany and the Great Southern region. MSWA's dedicated outreach centre in
Albany provides support to those people living with MS and all neurological conditions. Funds enable tangible support, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and counselling.
