Hervey Bay Tri - An Olympic Distance race in paradise

Well it is just on 20 days to go until the standard price entries for HBT close and so far the field is just over 50% full (field limit is 600 ind starters), teams are start to come in as well and the GoKids! race is taking off.
The Hot Laps Crit is now a definite starter thanks to the local cycling club (PS HB Tri Club are invaluable with their help in running the GoKids! event on the day). So in short if you are thinking of coming up - don't wait to long. There are already around 2 dozen interstate ppl making the flight (remember the direct jet flight from Syd is only about an hour).
Entries so far skewed towards new competitors so there is bound to be a last min rush from all the returning people (not forgetting even I missed out on a (non usm) event recently when it sold out a week prior to race day - don't be an unhappy spectator like I was (trip arranged etc but no entry spot)

Doing what the big boys apparently can't we have already had a dozen ppl roll their entries over to 2014 (injuries, weddings, even that bloody Nissan Corp etc).
