I’ve ordered a speed sled to supplement my
strength training. Been considering it for some time and bit the bullet, so to speak.
Great for enhancing acceleration, and you can replicate most
strength training work-outs with it.
Interested to hear if anyone else is using one!
Good weekend to all, BBB

Bugga Me Baz that looks like hard work. Gee I thought you might be training for the winter Olympics on a speed sled, then I looked at the link showing dragging weights around. This may be just a little to extreme for me. Does it damage the surface/grass you drag it over? It does actually look interesting and I must say I have never seen anyone dragging one of these around. Will be very interested to hear more about this as you start using it.
Are they pricy?
Have a good weekend.

Hi David
I think more popular in football coaching, and athletics. There has been some good research done around improving acceleration. For me it provides a variation on just doing static squats and engages more muscles.
You can really use it on any surface, but designed not to damage grass, this one is around $140. Hop onto You Tube and take a look at speed sled workouts – almost endless.
Good weekend; kayak and bike ride will be part of mine!
