I’ve been doing a lot of pack-walking on hills recently, usually 35kg and 10klm walk before work. Try to improve times each outing, not always successfully. This has assisted greatly with overall fitness and strength and it has been complimenting my strength training program.

This weekend we are going to do around 100klm non-stop along the Great North Walk, packs around 12-15kg, finishing in Newcastle. Not sure exactly how long it will take, but I am working on 5/6kph lapsed time.

So rain, hail, or shine, that is the goal...
