Hello everyone
We are 2 planning a hike on fraser island on november and we will spend 4 days discovering fraser island hiking. We think about spending the night in
hervey bay, leave there our heavy luggage and then take the barge on the morning with minimum weigh. We hesitate between staying in
central station camp and hike from that point or hiking from one point to another.
What is the best way to discover the island? If it is better to hike from one point to another what is the best itinerary?
thanks

Hi Jean,
Although you are intending on hiking, you may find useful information on our other website -
ExplorOz.com, which actually has really good information about exploring Fraser Island - although the content is geared towards the 4WD traveller it should still be relevant as it is very detailed and comprehensive.
Here is a link to the Trek Note section about
Fraser Island There will be links within to other pages we have.
Sounds like a wonderful adventure! Good luck!
