Cadel gets a hero's welcome

Amazing but wonderful to see the sport of cycling get such huge recognition through Cadel's tour de france win for Australia.

Now how do we turn all this positive attention into changing the views motorists have of cyclists? How do we get them to take a kinder view to cyclists using the roads (stop trying to run us off the road at roundabouts) and how do we encourage state and local governments to build more cycle-ways, wider road verges?

Please Australia, don't just celebrate today's hereo - show the everyday cyclist just as much respect - who knows one of them could be the next winner!
