I've reviewed a couple of Joel Frie's books now and this is another great concept. Designed for people that have already purchased the Training Bible, this is an "update" so has margin references to pages from the Training Bible. With that said, this title is sufficiently comprehensive as a stand-alone book with excellent information, diagrams, charts and examples. I am very impressed with the Training Bible titles (Triathlon and Cycling) and highly recommend any in the sport at any stage will have something valuable and practical to learn from these books, which you will keep on your bookshelf as reference material for many years to come.
