Oh I am feeling tired at the moment in the peak of my Busselton 70.3 preparations. I have been working on about 13-14hr per week for the last couple of weeks and this was my longest run of the training at 20km. I am running one long run per week on Monday's.

For the last few weeks I have been running the same course as above just a little shorter at 17, 18, 19 and now 20km.

My current schedule is one long run on Monday, intervals (about 8km) on Thursday evening and either a run off the bike (4-6km) on Saturday after the 110km ride or a machine run of around 8km at some other time during the week.

So 2-3 runs per week at around 30-35kms/week. Is this enough well I reckon it is as triathletes we have a lot to fit in with running, swimming and cycling plus work, life and family. 2-3 runs, 3 cycles, 2-3 swims, yoga and strength training does make for a busy schedule.

It is important to have a balance between life and training because if you put to much into the training the family will suffer and this will in time make the training fail. Remember it is meant to be fun and fitness, so good luck with your training and if you are in my area on Monday's I may see you on he track.
If it's not hurting your not tri'ing!
