About the Corporate Teams Triathlon

The 21st annual Corporate Teams Triathlon was held last Sunday on April 1, at Fremantle at Esplanade Park and TraithlonOz.com was there as a race sponsor but we did not have a team entry. (Adele - lucky you were in Bali but we're signing you up for next year!). There are atually two events on the day - Corporate Teams or Tri-it Teams.

Corportate Teams Information

In the Corporate Teams, you enter in teams of two (pairs) or three (triples). Each person completes the full triathlon and you start together. The teams official race time is recorded as the total combined time for all members of the team to complete the race. Teams can represent companies, organisations or just an alliance of friends/family!

Tri-it Teams Information

The Tri-it Teams event is a 3-person team with each person doing one leg - either swim, cycle or run and is a great way to get into triathlon.

Our perspective on the day

If you've never seen this event you're missing out. With 1200 participants it was a great day out! Well done to Stephen Doyle, his wife Chris and the wonderful team at Sports Performance & Management and all the TWA Technical Officers, volunteers, supports and sponsors. It is a great event for everyone to get involved either just for a bit of fun with your team, or as your first try at triathlon. Better still, there were tons of prizes and giveaways and the day was a wrap for us by about 9.30am.

Those who were there had a chance to see the very first TriathlonOz trisuits, which we had on sale for just $135 on the day. Participants also had the chance to put their name into our WIN A TRISUIT TODAY PRIZE DRAW, which was won by the lovely Kylie N, who was thrilled.

We also now stock 8 styles of the popular Sunwise Sports Sunglasses from the UK and took these down to the event. These lightweight sunnies are great for triathletes and most styles include 4 interchangable lenses and come with a cover and case for just $34 - $50.
